Banana Pudding Cannoli

 Banana Pudding Cannoli

Here we have a cannoli, or should I say THE cannoli?! As in THE BEST CANNOLI you might ever have! (just saying!) I’ve always loved to make mash up savory dishes, but I decided I’d try it out with a sweet dish this time and mannnn am I glad I did!! This dessert is the perfect mash up of a classic Southern dessert and a classic Italian dessert!

So, this was actually my first time ever having a cannoli which makes my argument that it’s the best cannoli a ‘lil biased (they’re really good tho). Honestly, because I’ve never had one that made cooking so much more fun and interesting. I loved tasting the shell for the first time and matching it with the traditional flavors of Banana Pudding!

It took me a while to find plain, large cannoli shells. Local bakeries only had shells that were already stuffed or dipped in chocolate. But, I didn’t give up! I was on a mission to find these shells. And, finally I found plain cannoli shells in a Publix bakery! Only to find out they were MINI SHELLS (seriously, who eats something that small?!?) Anyway, I was able to order the large shells and that’s my story of how I searched for cannoli lol.

These babies are so crunchy ( I really need to learn how to make these from scratch!) They’re filled with a banana cream cheese filling and dusted in powder sugar. Oh yea, can’t forget there’s also some Nilla wafers and homemade whipped cream! Are you drooling yet? Cause I am (ha!)

So, I’m going to stop jabbering, so that we can get COOKING! Head over to my YouTube channel to watch me make these Banana Pudding Cannoli step by step.
